If you are like me you need an outlet. You need some personal space. Perhaps it’s a creative hobby that you are searching for. It’s no secret that I just gave birth to my 7th baby a couple of months ago. Some people wonder how I make time for “me time” and I wonder how do moms survive without it?
Ever since childhood, I have been involved in some sort of art. It usually took the form of drawing or painting but later I loved scrap booking and sewing. It was after having baby number four that it dawned on me: taking a few hours a week to rejuvenate myself is a good thing. It’s good for mama and its good for the kiddos and it’s also good for my hubby.
So, I kind of thought I’ve explored it all when it comes to arts and crafts when I found a brand new way to be crafty last Summer. I was checking out the Haven Conference with my blogger sister when I spotted a fun exhibit … Cricut!!! I realized I didn’t really know what a Cricut machine was, so, I immediately signed up for their class and quickly fell in love.
I knew pretty much next to nothing about Cricut before the conference. In fact, I had heard about it a few years ago… it was at playdate with some friends. One of my friend was talking about cutting out shapes using a Cricut machine. It was said as a passing comment and I hadn’t thought more about it than that. I wish I had explored it more back then. I had no idea it could do so much!
Imagine my surprise when I saw the Cricut Explore Air™ machine at the exhibit where I realized how much more it could do. I was astonished to find out it could do so much more than cut paper.

I love that these newer versions of Cricut come with Bluetooth so that there is no need for cords connecting to your computer or device. It’s so simple.
